Jack O'Lantern Lightshow

Let's light up our villages on the scariest night of the year!

At exactly 7pm on 31st October, we invite all households to light up a carved pumpkin. At the witching hour, our pumpkins in gardens, porches and windows across Stoke Ferry and neighbouring villages will create a spectacular lightshow to give our kids a Halloween to remember. If anyone needs a bit of extra help, we have some pumpkins to give out. Please get in touch.

Online Whisky Tasting with Colin Hampden-White of Amazon Prime’s The Three Drinkers

Friday, 18th September at 7pm on Zoom

We’re delighted that whisky expert Colin Hampden-White will be guiding us through a tasting of two very different whiskies from the same producer and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with supporters of The Blue Bell.

The tasting is online. We will deliver the whisky samples to you if you live in Stoke Ferry or within 5 miles.

Spaces are limited to just 20 though, so hurry up!

The tasting is free. We simply ask that you make a minimum donation of £10 to the campaign to Ring the Blue Bell Again.

We will provide Zoom details and how to make a donation when you book your place.

Just email info@bluebellstokeferry.org to reserve your spot.

Join us for an online wine tasting to get the weekend off to a great start

Friday, 10th July from 7.30pm

Following June's great tasting of Norfolk beers, we're looking further afield, to Chile and Spain, for wines in July.

Wine educator Jim Gore will be teaching us how to taste wines. He has chosen red and a white that are widely available.

To take part in the tasting, you will need to get hold of the wines yourself. They are both great for summer drinking and as we are tasting them on a Friday night, they will be perfect for what we hope will be a sunny weekend.

The wines are:

• Cono Sur Bicicleta Sauvignon Blanc 2019
• Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva 2015

We bought them at Tesco in Swaffham on 12th June, when they were on sale for £6 and £8 respectively.

You will also need to email info@bluebellstokeferry.org for instructions on how to join the online tasting session and to make a small donation of £5 that will go towards the funding of the campaign to Ring The Blue Bell Again for the community!

We hope you can join us to get the weekend off to a fun start!

Stoke Ferry Takeover

Bank Holiday Monday
31st August 2020

Stoke Ferry has said loud and clear that it wants a pub for entire village that supports the community as well as serving great food and drink.

The Blue Bell Takeover will give us a taste of what that could be like.

We can enjoy each other’s company – socially distanced of course - try award-winning Norfolk beers, scoff some wonderful home baking, enjoy live music, learn more about the village and celebrate our local lockdown heroes together.

Join in the fun – there’s something for everyone.

  • Tea and cakes

  • Beer and Wine

  • Live Music

  • Family Treasure Hunt

  • Celebration of Lockdown Heroes

  • Make your own Blue Bell at home

And you’ll be raising money for the campaign to Ring The Blue Bell Again!

Everything starts at 2pm. Come and visit us at our stall outside the church.

Scroll down to find out more!

Thanks to our Takeover Partners

Bobbins Bakes – For donating profits from the sale of cakes to the Campaign to Save the Blue Bell

Beer Tasting with the Wolf Brewery

Thanks to everyone who joined us on 16th June,
and thanks to the Wolf Brewery for providing such excellent beers.
Keep an eye out for future beer tastings.

Let’s raise a glass together to help save Stoke Ferry’s last pub for the village.
